South Of No North

In more than ten years, this is as close as I got to making a photograph of a New York City landmark. Or arguably of two landmarks: the tracks near Metro-North Station on 125th Street in the foreground and, far in the background, the former Pan Am Building (now MetLife) near Grand Central Station on 42nd Street. So it can be worthwhile in more than one way to see someone off at the train station…
